Hey, reader! I’m Tawny, an advice columnist better known as “The Sober Sexpert” and author of Dry Humping: A Guide to Dating, Relating, and Hooking Up Without the Booze. I’m here to empower you to find your *intrinsic* courage without booze—regardless of your relationship status—one date at a time.
Ya girl is going on a book tour! Check out this awesome lineup of events, y’all. I’m so excited to travel, chat with my friends on stage, and meet all of you! My favorite part of book signings and speaking events is bringing my book about sober (curious) dating and relationships to life through conversation with people like you.
Answering live Q&A’s from audience members and meeting readers IRL is truly such a surreal experience because writing, researching, and publishing this book was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I still can’t believe I wrote a freaking book.
These live events motivate me to keep doing this arduous work of destigmatizing and normalizing mental health, sexuality, gender identity, boundary-setting, clear communication, queerness, pleasure, and, of course, living a mindful, sober (curious) life.
Though Dry Humping just came out, it’s a project that I turned into my fantastic editor over a year ago. So much of any writing project is left on the cutting room floor (#editing #revising #sobbing) and Dry Humping is no different. But that work finds a second life as I write my weekly advice column here on
. And my research continues with each live event or podcast appearance.
